Children's Health Care
Beaches Family Practice is proud to offer the full range of family care beginning with the newborn. Our doctors complete a full screening health check on all children prior to immunisation, along with further checks by our skilled practice nurses. Routine immunisations are provided free of charge, and all of our existing children as patients, under the age of 12 are currently bulk billed. Children being children, with often rapidly developing symptoms, we are available for unexpected illness and injuries, and make every effort to see unwell children promptly and at short notice. Please inform our friendly reception staff if your need is urgent.
Immunisations and Vaccines
Prevention of disease is a cornerstone of General Practice, with immunisation against preventable disease being integral to this. At Beaches Family Practice we provide all childhood vaccines under the Australian Immmunisation Program; adult vaccines such as influenza and pneumonia vaccines; tetanus vaccines and a range of vaccines for overseas travel. For those travelling, an appointment is made with the General Practitioner of your choice (preferably more than 4 weeks prior to departure) and a tailored immunisation schedule is created. A number of vaccines are readily available for purchase from our practice.
